D1 Driver - Minibus - Passenger escort driving - South London
Adecco are supporting a London Borough Council team in a service role as aD1 Driver in the Adult Social Care & Health team.
16 seater minibus - need D1 licence - minibuses are based at two Centres in Croydon.
We are seeking dynamic and collaborative individuals to join their team to provide the best possible service to support their approach to provisions to Passenger Escort and travel in the Borough. - Shift pattern 9.15 TO 11.15 AND 15.15 TO 17.15 (Split shift) MONDAY TO FRIDAYS
- Temporary Role - 3 months with potential extension as well as opportunity to apply for permanent role
- £14.40 per hour PAYE (Circa £26,9K per annum) or umbrella options available at a slightly higher pay rate with no holiday pay
- Based in Croydon
This is a very rewarding role, although it may have certain challenges, your day will be taking residents out and about which is an important exposure to activities and events to promote well-being and be a real positive impact on peoples lives
Duties
- Drive minibuses
- Work from a passenger list
- Be responsible for vehicle safety
- Carry out safety checks on vehicle
- Lawfully use mobile phone and communicate with team and necessary contacts
- Assist passengers as necessary
- Attend meetings when required
- Undertake other non-passenger duties when required
Must Have's
- "D1" driving license - Minibus / 16 seater license / CPC / Digi Taco
- Able to work during shifts as above
- Happy for us to complete a DBS criminal background check
- All documents to confirm right to work and be able to provide last 2 years references
An ideal candidate
- Council environment understanding
- Experience of working within a Social setting environment
- Social care / Recycling experience
- Understanding of all necessary vehicle needs
- Ability to create and amend basic maps and photographs using digital tools
