About the Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant

Academics are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Croydon. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, caring, and eager to make a real difference in children's lives.

Key Responsibilities: Primary School Teaching Assistant - Croydon

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
  • Support individual or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive interactions.
  • Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation.
  • Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).

Requirements: Primary School Teaching Assistant

  • Previous experience working with children (in an educational setting is a plus).
  • A passion for education and supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards work.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths are desirable)
