Kenneth Brian Associates is excited to be working with their client on an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join their team. We are looking for a dedicated and organised individual to take on a dynamic role that involves sourcing and purchasing essential materials. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and suppliers, researching material suppliers, negotiating agreements, and managing inventory controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source essential materials required for both internal projects and client services. Ensure that materials are sourced at competitive prices while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough research on potential suppliers, comparing pricing, product offerings, and delivery timelines. Select suppliers that meet the company’s quality and budget standards.
  • Negotiate terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions, to secure the best value for the company. Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop and manage efficient inventory control systems to track stock levels, prevent overstocking or understocking, and ensure timely procurement to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of any issues.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Project Management, Operations, and Finance to meet supply needs promptly and effectively.
  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions.
  • Ensure that all materials purchased meet required quality standards and compliance regulations.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory control and order processing is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Must live locally to South Croydon.
