We are supporting a client in south Croydon with a general manager vacancy. Our client have a barista which sits on site within a large secondary school. We are looking for an experienced manager who is able to pick up processes quickly, able to evaluate and improve on existing processes and carry out general day to day operations.

Key Duties

? Management of monthly food safety audits

? To be responsible for the day to day management and running of the school’s sports café services

? To ensure compliance with all statutory requirements in respect of finance, hygiene, health & safety, school policies, procedures and regulations, and Catering Services Codes of Practice policies and procedures.

? Work together with GLT’s Regional Catering Manager on the implement on of new, unique, food products and then train and empower the café personnel to produce and deliver to this high standard.

? Demonstrate a level of practical food knowledge that incorporates both contemporary, traditional and new café food trends, i.e. Street Food, innovative new food and drink products, keeping our offering fresh and up to date with the current market place

? Inspire and motivate the café personnel when training and coaching, by demonstrating excellent teamwork, motivational and interpersonal sensitivity skills.

?Proactively seek information on new initiatives that would add to the customer’s service and food experience.

? Develop a comprehensive understanding of the café’s finances in order to deliver best value, tracking food costs, sales, profit margins and a weekly stock take.

? To provide monthly finance reports and any other necessary reports to GLT’s Regional Catering Manager

? To be responsible for the cafés cashless ll system. This will include maintaining the system and logging any internet payments.

? To manage and assist in all café catering events, i.e. BBQ’setc.

?Proactively enhance the reputation of the café as the go to place to be.

? Ensure choices are made where practical to support the Trust’s drive towards
