Academics is currently recruiting for multiple HLTA roles across Croydon, supporting Primary Schools in the area.
The Role: As a HLTA you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning across all year groups, working closely with both teachers and pupils to ensure an enriching educational experience. You will assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons, particularly with groups and individuals who need additional support. Key Responsibilities: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Croydon
- Support classroom teaching across a variety of subjects and year groups.
- Lead small groups or one-to-one interventions for students who require additional support.
- Work alongside teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
- Help monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to both the class teacher and pupils.
- Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Assist in the management of classroom behaviour.
- Support students with additional needs, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of school programs and initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Croydon
- HLTA qualification desirable but not necessary with relevant experience
- Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally with a variety of age groups.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and inclusive practices.
- Be confident in leading small group activities and interventions.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to providing a high standard of support to both students and staff.
