Behaviour Support Worker Do you have experience working with children/young people with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) difficulties?Remedy Education are looking for committed individuals for a specialist SEMH School based in Croydon.The role is to start as soon as possible, and continue for the academic year.You will be supporting young people with additional needs, as well as displaying some challenging behaviour. You will be required to give academic support to the students, and helping them show more pro social behaviours in the classroom.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILSLocation Croydon Position Behaviour Support WorkerStart Date ASAPEnd Date July 2025Duration / Likely Duration Academic YearFull time/Part-time Full TimeContract Type: Long termHours 08:30am 3:30pm The Minimum Rate of Pay £100 - £110 per day EXPERIENCERelevant experience in a school or similar setting.Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn.TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONSGCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.Specific training in interventions/SEN/SEMH.Commitment to all CPD offered.Team Teach training would be beneficial to this role, however this can be provided for free.TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH REMEDY EDUCATION, YOU MUST:Hold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide two professional related referencesOTHERIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
