About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of an outstanding SEN school that caters specifically for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with experienced teachers and SEN professionals, you'll help create a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to each child's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of pupils with Autism
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitoring and reporting on students' progress to teaching staff

What We Are Looking For:

  • A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (Desirable)
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN, particularly Autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to challenging situations
  • Previous experience in an SEN environment (either voluntary or paid) is advantageous but not essential
