This SEMH school is a safe and nurturing space where children aged 11-16 are supported to thrive both academically and emotionally. They specialise in working with students who may experience challenges such as anxiety, behavioural difficulties, or social barriers, and we're proud of our caring, inclusive environment.

The Role

As a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with students, offering tailored support to help them manage behaviour and emotions.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and calm environment for learning.
  • Assist in the classroom, adapting lessons and strategies to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
  • Celebrate every success, no matter how small, to build confidence and resilience.

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Compassionate and able to build trusting relationships with children.
  • Resilient and able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Adaptable to the dynamic needs of an SEMH environment.
  • Team-Oriented, working collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Experienced in education, care, or supporting children with SEMH needs (preferred but not essential - training provided).
