About The School: SEN Teaching Assistant - Croydon I am currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream Primary School. The candidate will be supporting the mainstream School's SEN Children as well as the New ASD Provision.

Role Overview: SEN Teaching Assistant - Croydon As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have specific learning needs, helping to tailor lessons and support to ensure their academic, social, and emotional development. You will be an integral part of our SEN team, working alongside experienced SEN staff and class teachers to help integrate students into the mainstream School.

Key Responsibilities: SEN Teaching Assistant - Croydon

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) both in the classroom and during activities.
  • Support children in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Help plan and deliver specific interventions for children with SEN.
  • Monitor and record students' progress in collaboration with the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment.

We Are Looking For: SEN Teaching Assistant - Croydon

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is favourable.
  • Bachelor in Psychology or Criminology looking for hands on experience
  • A good understanding of different learning needs and how to support them.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to teaching.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
