PRU Science Teacher
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Science Teacher with a heart for supporting students with special educational needs? Join our vibrant, all-through Pupil Referral Unit and make a difference in the lives of students of all abilities.
We are seeking a SEN Science Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive Science lessons to students from diverse educational backgrounds. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring every student reaches their full potential, providing tailored support and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
Pay rate: Daily rates between £150 - £250 per day - the higher rates are available to teacher with QTS, but QTS is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Create and deliver Science lessons that engage, inspire, and cater to a wide range of abilities.
- Behaviour Management: Proactively manage classroom behaviour, fostering a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure the holistic development of every student.
- Individualized Support: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the specific learning needs of students with complex SEN, ensuring progress for all.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Assess, track, and report on student progress, adjusting teaching approaches as necessary.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferable
- Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable, particularly in a classroom setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to support students in achieving both academically and socially.
- A passion for Science and the ability to convey this enthusiasm to students with varying abilities and needs.
