Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Tutors with PGCE or QTS qualifications to join our team in Croydon and surrounding areas. The successful candidates will work closely with students to provide individualised instruction and support, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering personalised tutoring sessions to students with SEN needs, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and requirements - This may include working with students that have ASD/AHDH/OCD
  • Developing and implementing tailored learning plans in collaboration with other educational professionals and parents.
  • Providing emotional and social support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, maintaining detailed records and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Requirements:

  • PGCE / QTS / Recognisable teaching qualification
  • Demonstrable experience in working with SEN/SEMH students.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of students.
