DT Technician

We are seeking an experienced DT Technician to join a well-established and thriving school in Carshalton, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key member of a dedicated and supportive team, where your skills and expertise will be highly valued. Responsibilities:

  • Support the Design and Technology department in delivering high-quality lessons in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Construction, and Engineering.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for practical lessons.
  • Assist teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring safety and effective use of resources. 
  • Manage inventory and procurement of materials and equipment.  Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong technical skills in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Construction, and Engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teaching staff.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a workshop environment.


This is a long-term ongoing role, for start in January. Please only apply if you have had experience in a similar role and can commute to Carshalton.
