Our client, a manufacturer of machinery parts, is currently looking to recruit a Worksop Operative to be based at their manufacturing operation in Rutland

Reporting to the Team Leader you will have responsibility for working on the metal products used in the assembly of bespoke automotive items.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Operate shot blasting equipment:Use control panels to adjust settings for the length of the cycle and sequence of operations.
  • Preparing surfaces:Remove rust, paint, and debris from surfaces using steel shot
  • Picking Stock: Taking works order and picking stock from the stores ready for production
  • Maintain equipment:Performing minor maintenance, such as greasing and checking hydraulic fluid levels
  • Assist with other tasks:May assist with sanding, spraying cleaning, or basic repairs
  • Quality check:Check parts before working on them
  • Maintain cleanliness:Keep the work area clean and organized

We are looking for a motivated individual who has ideallyworked within a Mechanical Manufacturing environment previously. Candidates who also have experince as a Mechanic, Assembler, or Fitter would also welcomed. You should be able to read, be a self-starter and be competent at completing work accurately, it would also be ideal if you had previously worked within the HGV, Mining or Agricultural sectors. Full training will be given on all specific duties.
