Are you an experienced engineering professional looking for an opportunity to lead and make an impact? We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our customers onsite operations team in Swindon. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of high-quality maintenance operations and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Maintenance Manager leading a team of five Resident Engineers in a 24/7 operation to support the customer’s new automated system.
  • Work closely with the customer’s H&S team to establish best practices across all aspects of the site.
  • Manage and develop the Resident Engineers, providing guidance, conducting annual appraisals, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Spearhead the development of a World Class Maintenance Regime, including planning and executing all preventative maintenance using CMMS.
  • Maintain high system uptime in alignment with KPI targets.
  • Oversee asset management and ensure service records for all equipment are up-to-date and complete.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the customer’s CI team to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Ensure all company documentation and quality standards are met.

Requirements of the Maintenance Manager

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager  in an automation and production line environment.
  • Strong technical background, with proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a high-performing team.
  • HNC or equivalent, ideally with an electrical bias.
  • Experience with Health & Safety regulations, ideally with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills, with an ability to handle escalations efficiently.
  • Strong customer relations, with a focus on delivering results that align with client KPIs.
