Freelance Estimator - Highways & Infrastructure
Are you an experienced Estimator with a strong background in Highways & Infrastructure tendering? If so, we are looking for a skilled professional to join our esteemed client on a freelance basis. This role is based in South Mimms and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects.
Location: South Mimms
Contract Length: 6 months
Start Date: ASAPHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (minimum of 3 days in the office). Start between 8am-9am, finish by 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
路Manage all aspects of estimating for highways construction projects.
路Prepare cost estimates and budgets for earthworks and drainage.
路Conduct risk analysis and value engineering.
路Oversee tendering processes and contract administration for motorway and highways projects.
路Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
路Liaise with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
路Proven experience in estimating for highways, earthworks, and drainage projects.
路Strong understanding of construction and maintenance processes.
路Experience preparing estimates from detailed construction information to feasibility study level.
路Proficiency in Candy estimating software and Microsoft Office.
路Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
路Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
路Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
路Hard-working and proactive, enjoying hands-on involvement in projects.
