Role Purpose

As an Estimator, you'll be instrumental in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil portions of multi-disciplinary highway projects. You'll work collaboratively with a team of experienced professionals, supporting senior estimators in presenting and negotiating prices with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop estimates from first principles.

  • Review drawings and specifications to prepare costing sheets.

  • Analyze design options and identify cost-effective solutions.

  • Liaise with project teams and the supply chain.

  • Manage and support smaller bids to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Infrastructure main contractor background is essential.

  • Proven experience in an estimating role within civils (Commercial or operational background considered).

  • Relevant industry chartership (ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB, etc.) is desirable.

  • Experience with Candy Estimating Software (desirable but not essential).

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
