The Recruitment Co are looking for a Quality Controller to join our well established aerospace manufacturing client in South Molton.


Job Title: Quality Controller
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM; Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Permanent; Full Time
Location: South Molton

The Quality Inspector role is to work as part of a team of multi-skilled Inspectors in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace product, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components and Composites.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Mechanical / Electrical inspection of Aerospace product
  • In Process Inspection
  • First Article Inspection
  • Work on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems in line with company procedures
  • Undertake investigation of quality issues to resolution, in conjunction with all necessary internal/external bodies relating to product/process/system. These may be initiated by internal or external customers
  • Maintenance of Quality Records and Metrics
  • Support shop floor with Technical issues if required
  • Auditing of Approved Operators
  • Support training of others in products and processes for your area
  • Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. From time to time, you will be required to undertake other activities that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
  • You will be required to undertake all responsibilities above in line with your Grade.


Requirements:

  • Able to use Measuring Equipment
  • Able to interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Experience of Goods In Inspection and processes advantageous
  • Aerospace knowledge advantageous
  • Experience of FAIRs to AS 9102
  • IT Skills
  • Root Cause Tools - 5 why's & 8D
  • City & Guilds
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and Science
  • Apprentice trained in a relevant discipline advantageous
