Acorn By Synergie are in search of a direct and dynamic HR Business Partner for a most reputable Engineering / Manufacturing business based in North Devon who are expanding and at a very fast pace indeed. Should you be looking for a new opportunity and one with a high-flying organisation who really are going places, this is could well be your calling. Here's what we're looking for . . .

Essential Experience Required . . .

  • Qualified by experience rather than qualifications. That's not to say that we will turn away those with CIPD to their name still, on the job experience is really what we're in search of here.
  • Prior work experience in a fast-paced Engineering / Manufacturing environment isn't necessarily essential however is highly advantageous as that's exactly what you'll be in store for.
  • Sound knowledge of Excel.
  • Characteristics wise we are in search of a direct, dynamic, energetic individual who to be frank 'eats up work'. Almost a Tigger (as in Winnie-The-Pooh), bouncing from one job to the next as this truly isn't a role for a dawdler, busy busy busy!   • 3 - 5 years HR experience and / or general employee relations experience again is preferable yet not absolutely essential.

Here's What Could Be In It For You . . .

  • To clarify, this initially will be a 12 - 16 month FTC (fixed term contract). Still, who knows where it may lead after this timeframe.
  • Salary DOE. Above area competition.
  • In addition to your base salary, an annual site bonus (discretional) on top of.
  • Lovely hours of work; 8am - 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm finish Fridays / 4.5-day week

Job Role & Responsibilities Include . . .

  • Assist the HR Manager in the administration and implementation of all phases in human resources including but not limited to employment, compensation, benefits, merit and VPP payments, labour relations, training, and employee's compensation.
  • Ensure data on HR systems are kept up to date and accurate.
  • Support with the submission of accurate data to Payroll department each month.
  • Responsible for working with business area leaders, employees and employee representatives to foster culture of employee engagement.
  • Address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate performance management processes across all levels of the organisation.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and development programmes to support the organisation attracting and retaining talent.
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to inform decision making and improve HR practices.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and HR regulations.
