Quality Controller Jobs in South Molton, Devon! Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is hiring on behalf of our superb Aerospace client for a Quality Controller (Day Shift) to work based in South Molton, Devon. The Quality Controller role is to work as part of a team of multi-skilled Inspectors in a diverse manufacturing environment covering Aerospace products, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components and Composites.

The working hours are standard day shifts 37.5 hours Monday – Friday. The annual salary is £27,061 PA. After 12 weeks in the role depending on skills, you would then progress to an increase in salary within this banding £28,612 - £31,717 PA. Your Main Responsibilities

  • Mechanical / Electrical inspection of Aerospace product
  • In Process Inspection
  • First Article Inspection
  • Work on own initiatives and resolve any issues or problems in line with company procedures
  • Undertake investigation of quality issues to resolution, in conjunction with all necessary internal or external bodies relating to product/process/system. These may be initiated by internal or external customers
  • Maintenance of Quality Records and Metrics
  • Support shop floor with Technical issues if required
  • Auditing of Approved Operators
  • Support training of others in products and processes for your area
  • Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.
  • You will be required to undertake all responsibilities above in line with your Grade.

Qualifications required:

  • City & Guilds
  • GCSE’s or equivalent in Maths and Science
  • Apprentice trained in a relevant discipline advantageous

Experience Required: 

  •  Use of Measuring Equipment
  • Able to interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Previous experience required although training can be provided
  • Experience of Goods In Inspection and processes advantageous
  • Aerospace knowledge advantageous
  • Experience of FAIRs to AS 9102
  • IT Skills
  • Root Cause Tools – 5 why’s / 8D
