About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Agent / Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major highways improvement project on the North Devon Link Road. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for overall project management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This position is for the final 4 months of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the construction and delivery of the North Devon Link Road project, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
Oversee site operations, including the management of contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to provide regular updates and resolve any project-related issues.
Manage project budgets and financial reporting, ensuring cost control and value engineering.
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Drive a collaborative working culture, maintaining strong communication and coordination across all project teams.
Skills & Experience Required:
Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven track record in delivering large-scale highway or infrastructure projects.
Must Have: Extensive highways experience is essential.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of highway construction, traffic management, and earthworks.
Leadership: Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
Communication: Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
Commercial Acumen: Experience in budget management, contract administration, and NEC contract knowledge is advantageous.
Certifications: CSCS, SMSTS, and relevant health & safety qualifications.
