Job Overview:We are seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team, based in Essex. The role involves a combination of container haulage and curtain side work, ensuring timely and safe deliveries across the region. This is a full-time position with the option of day or night shifts, operating from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate Class 1 vehicles for container haulage and curtain side work.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo in compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Plan routes effectively and ensure timely delivery to various locations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle checks.
- Comply with all transport laws, regulations, and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the logistics team and other drivers to meet deadlines.
- Provide excellent customer service when delivering goods to clients.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
- Driver CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum of 1 year of Class 1 driving experience (preferred but not essential).
- Experience in both container haulage and curtain side operations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UK driving regulations and road networks.
- Strong understanding of load safety and securing procedures.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Flexibility to work days or nights as required.
