Caledonian Construction are recruiting for:

Skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to play a key role in delivering high-quality digital outputs that meet project requirements. In this position, you will ensure that all deliverables are produced to a professional standard, contributing to the successful implementation of digital design solutions.

As an integral member of our growing team, you will collaborate closely with our team to support ongoing projects. This role involves working on a variety of deliverables, including 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and BIM Level 2 projects if possible, requiring adaptability and technical proficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparation of factual reports and installation drawings:

  • Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and schematics based on project specifications.
  • Prepare key associated documents notably AutoCAD produced section and layout drawings.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and project managers to interpret and translate technical instructions into detailed drawings.
  • Revise existing CAD drawings to incorporate design changes or feedback.
  • Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with industry standards, including scaling, dimensions, and notation.
  • Maintain records and documentation for project drawings and revisions.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills, and written communication skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in drawings.
  • Resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Advantageous to have familiarity with design standards and regulations.

Package:

-Junior package: 25k to 30k

-Qualified: 40k to 45k

-Bonuse subject to performance

-23 Days holiday plus bank holidays
