Teaching Assistant - Primary School in South Ockendon/Thurrock

Our vibrant and welcoming Primary School, located in South Ockendon/Thurrock, is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of young learners and want to play an active role in their educational journey, we would love to hear from you!

As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of lessons and help ensure that all students, including those with additional needs, can engage and succeed. You will support both in the classroom and during small group or one-to-one sessions, helping children to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:· Assist with the delivery of lessons and learning activities across the curriculum · Support students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, focusing on their individual needs · Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning environment · Provide feedback to teachers on student progress, achievements, and challenges · Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and materials · Support students with their social, emotional, and academic development

The ideal candidate will:· Have experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting · Be patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with students · Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff · Have a passion for helping children achieve their best · Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or have relevant experience · Be flexible, adaptable, and proactive in supporting the needs of the students
