- Salary: £36,000 + earnings of £60k+ with overtime
- 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Company-provided service vehicle & fuel - This includes personal miles and door to door pay.
- Perform servicing and maintenance on generators on-site and within the depot
- Carry out genset synchronization tasks
- Diagnose faults in control panels, AC/DC electrical systems, and other components
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, including Bank Holidays
- Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs
- Communicate directly with customers, ensuring excellent service levels
- Ensure daily vehicle roadworthiness by completing defects reports
- Strictly adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate service records, including service sheets, PDI sheets, and other documentation
- We’re looking for a highly organised individual who possesses the following:
- Previous experience in the generator or plant hire industry
- NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong ability to manage workloads and meet weekly service schedules
- A full UK driving licence.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- A forklift licence is preferred (training can be provided if needed)
