Key Stage 2 Teacher - Year 5 EssexLocation: Essex, South OckendonContract: Full-time / Temporary (potential to go permanent)Start date: January 2025Your new schoolAn opportunity has arisen for a Year 5 teacher in a school in Essex, South Ockendon.Located at the southern end of South Ockendon, the school is set within approximately 8 acres of pleasant grounds. Their part-time Nursery Class welcomes children from the age of 3, with a maximum of 26 places available for both morning and afternoon sessions.Your role as a Year 5 Teacher

  • Teaching from planned objectives, which take account of differentiation to achieve progression in pupil's learning, setting clear targets for pupils' learning based on prior attainment
  • Fulfil the School's and National assessment, recording and reporting system as appropriate
  • Manage, with support, the work of Learning Support Assistants and other helpers in class to enhance children's learning
  • Take part fully in primary school duties such as supervising playtimes, taking whole school assemblies and class assemblies

What you will need to succeed for this Year 5 Teacher roleA successful candidate will:

  • Must hold QTS status
  • Have recent experience of working in primary schools in the UK
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Show good standards of professionalism, being well organised and capable of working to policy and procedure to agreed timescales
