Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for several Learning Support Assistants to work within SEND schools in South Ockendon and the surrounding areas, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs. We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Learning Support Assistants to provide essential classroom support. The pupils you will be assisting may have a variety of SEND needs, and while experience in supporting these needs is desirable, it is not essential. Your role will be key in helping pupils develop their communication, learning, and independence in a safe and inclusive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with ASC
  • Supervising pupils' behaviour
  • Encouraging and aiding pupils' learning and development
  • Supporting social interaction and engagement
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and planning activities
  • Providing personal care as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or adults with ASC

  • Able to commit to a 6-12 month term
