Management Accountant / Business Partner

South Petherton, Somerset

Up to £60,000

My client a £100m+ group seeks to recruit a finance lead, to take ownership for a growing subsidiary with a turnover of approx £25m. In this key role you will report to the Group Financial Controller who will do site visits and support the individual remotely. Due to this it’s incredibly important that the individual can work autonomously and be confident in supporting and business partnering with local department heads. You will be the finance lead and take ownership for the production of accounts and implementation of better MI to improve decision making.

About the Role

This is an exciting stand-alone opportunity for an experienced Accountant who is comfortable being the business contact lead in the subsidiary and will add value through the individual’s capability to collaborate relevant financial and non-financial information to aid in management decision making.

The post holder will be the first POC for day-to-day queries, assist and own delivery of the budget process, prepare the management accounts, assist and own the year end audit and provide high quality information.


Responsibilities


•    Month end / year end processing 
•    Management accounts to first draft for presentation
•    Budget tasks ownership
•    Audit tasks ownership
•    Miscellaneous reporting as required
•    Balance sheet reconciliations
•    Depot reporting packs
•    Business partnering with key SMT members based on-site


Candidate Requirements


•    Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills 
•    Ability to trouble shoot effectively
•    Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously
•    Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,)
•    A high level of proficiency in Excel is a requirement to be successful in this role
•    Business Partnering capability – getting things done through others and being the Finance contact for the subsidiary.
