The School and Role

Vision for Education are seeking Psychology Graduates to work in SEMH Alternative Provisions across the North East to support children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviour. 

This Secondary SEMH Provision, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint a passionate Psychology Graduate to work with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils on a full-time basis. Working in this SEMH Alternative Provision as part of an established team, the desired Psychology Graduate will be working on a small class sized basis supporting pupils during lessons and around school. This full time Psychology Graduate role is long term from March ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired Psychology Graduate will have;

  • - Psychology degree
  • - Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children
  • - Experience of working with pupils with SEND/SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • - A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils
  • - An ability to work as part of a team
