GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently collaborating with a remarkable primary school situated in South Shields that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide tailored educational support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.

Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: South Shields
Salary: £75 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract type: Daily Supply, Long Term
Start date: Immediate

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be pivotal in supporting the educational and developmental needs of young students in a primary school setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons, providing individual or small group support to students who may need extra help and contributing to the overall classroom environment.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Provide individual support to students, helping them to overcome learning challenges.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • May have previous experience working in a primary school setting.

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
