Project Monitoring Officer

South Shields

20 per hour (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (4 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Project Monitoring Officer in South Shields. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

  • Responsible for leading the monitoring and reporting the performance of a range of public sector projects

  • Ensuring effective service delivery by supporting and monitoring the grant programme and funding contracts. These programmes or projects could be either geographical focussed, thematic or contract basis
  • Regular collection and collation of project and programme output, outcome and expenditure information
  • Administering payments to project delivery organisations
  • Providing advice and support to delivery organisations to ensure satisfactory systems to monitor project and programme performance and finances are implemented

The candidate:

  • Finance qualification e.g. AAT
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of funding programmes
  • Project monitoring and programme management experience
