We are looking for a Project Manager for one of our maritime clients.
Typically, this person will join and lead an established multi discipline Ship Repair team of an innovative International Marine Company.
HSB Technical’ s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity:
- Being able to produce proper management of spare parts and deck/engine stores to assist of vessels budgets.
- Attend vessel dry docks, repairs and produce survey to determine repairs specifications for dry docks and overhauls.Â
- Work closely with internal and external customers on technical and operational matters.
- Carry out inspections to ensure standards on board are maintained.
- Supervise repairs and provide advice to contractors and ships’ staff during maintenance.
- Monitor the Class and Flag State requirements and plan/supervise the required surveys ensuring that the certification of assigned vessels is maintained in accordance with the relevant Class and Flag State requirements.Â
Qualifications and requirement for the Vessel Manager:
An engineering qualification
- This would really suit someone who has worked at a manager level within the royal navy either a Marine Engineer or Weapons Engineer.
- Good computer skills
- Comfortable working with production of schematics and layouts.
- Experience of designing and managing industrial/marine installations to rigorous regulations and standards.
- It is vital that you come from a background dealing with commercial, passenger or defence Refit/new builds.
- It is vital that you come from a shipyard background.
