English SEMH Teacher
South Tyneside (Full Time)

The School and Role

This Secondary SEMH Provision, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint a passionate English SEMH Teacher to work with Key Stage 3 pupils on a full-time basis. Working in this SEMH Alternative Provision as part of an established team, the desired English SEMH Teacher will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviour teaching English lessons. This full time English SEMH Teacher role is long term from September ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired English SEMH Teacher will have;

  • - Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children
  • - Experience of working with pupils with SEND/ SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • - Experience of teaching Key Stage 3 English curriculum
  • - A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils
  • - An ability to work as part of a team
  • - QTS/QTLS
