We are looking for a dedicated and skilled handyman to join our clients team. In this role,
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Minor and Major repairs
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all legislation and company procedures.
- Support Services: Provide all-round support to customers and, when directed, assist the Regional Manager and Cleaning Supervisor.
- Water Hygiene: Perform water hygiene checks (L8 checks).
- Planned Maintenance: Execute planned maintenance tasks.
- Administration: Complete necessary administrative work related to jobs.
- Collaboration: Work with other trades as required.
- Cost Management: Calculate and manage material costs effectively.
- Customer Interaction: Attend commercial and domestic properties for general maintenance and repairs, sometimes independently or as part of a small team. Handle callouts during working hours and provide updates to the director, seeking authorization for additional works.
- Material Collection: Collect materials from suppliers as needed.
- Expert Advice: Provide expert opinions and advice to clients or arrange for specialists to provide this.
- Compliance: Ensure all correspondence goes through the Director and agree not to undertake any lone or independent works for any clients obtained through the company.
About You:
- Qualifications: Approved formal apprenticeship in a relevant skill area or proven relevant experience.
- Experience: Versatile handyman with experience in various trades.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license.
- Communication: Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using a PDA and computer literate.
- Health & Safety: Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and procedures.
- Adaptability: Ability to leave one job and attend another at short notice if required.
