Cover Supervisor

Location: South Woodham Ferrers

GSL Education are searching for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded school in South Woodham Ferrers. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision for classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Implement lesson plans as provided by the absent teacher and maintain classroom discipline.
  • need to work 3/4 days per week.
  • Support students in completing their work and provide feedback to teachers on student progress.
  • Assist with examination supervision and accompany students on school trips when required.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A passion for education and supporting young people’s learning.
