Description
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with team members to assist with and improve the month, quarter, and year-end close process.
- Perform ad hoc projects related to financial analysis, data collection, and system enhancements.
Profile
A successful applicant should have:
- An ACA/ACCA qualification
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
