This role requires flexibility during busy season, this is key with regards to hours and days worked.We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:Key Responsibilities* Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling and general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.* Installation & repairs gutters and drainpipe systems.* General repairs of basic plumbing.* Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.* Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on - call assistance.* Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.* Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.* Seasonal shift & on call rota.* Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities* Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.* Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.* Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.* Have recognised C&G, NVQ qualifications.* Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.* A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.* A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.* Full clean UK driving licence.* Significant proven experience.* Be able to follow specific instructions.Comapny Benefits* Great referal scheme* Many training programmes available internal and externally* Enhanced private health care* Enhanced company pension* Season ticket travel loan* Other benefits from PerksAtWork include substantial holiday travel, retail, entertainment and dining discounts.
