GSL Education is looking for a number of compassionate and enthusiastic School Nursery Nurses to join one of our client schools in Southall. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the early years’ development of children and make a real difference in their educational journey.

 

Key Responsibilities as a School Nursery Nurse:

  • Nurturing Care: Provide care and support to children aged 3-5, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support Learning: Assist in the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Monitor Development: Observe and record children's progress, helping to identify and meet their individual needs.
  • Encourage Social Skills: Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and builds confidence.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers and other nursery staff to support children’s learning and development.
  • Engage with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Nursery Nurse Qualification (or equivalent): A relevant childcare qualification.
  • Experience in Early Years Settings: Proven experience working with nursery or reception-aged children.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS Framework: Strong understanding of child development and the Early Years curriculum.
  • Caring and Compassionate Nature: A genuine passion for supporting young children’s growth and development.
  • Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: Promote and ensure the welfare of all children in your care.
  • Hold an enhanced child work force DBS registered with the online update service, or, willing to apply for a new on through GSL Education.
