THE FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

Role and Responsibilities:

To provide support in terms of the building fabrication and general maintenance including racking maintenance & inspection, building maintenance in terms of wear and tear, and contractor control associated duties in line with company guidelines and the procedures.

  • Performing maintenance and like repairs.
  • Undertake light installation i.e. cabinets, desks carpentry work.
  • Assist with electrical plumbing and HVAC repairs.
  • Painting and decorating the facility.
  • Pest proofing
  • Weekly Fire door inspections and fire alarm testing.
  • Working as per maintenance schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Attending regular operations meetings to discuss maintenance requirements & performance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will need to have a background in a similar field ideally in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries.

  • Apprentice trained or minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • IPAF trained in line with working at height
  • SEMA Racking inspection & Repair trained
  • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment's.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical work.
