Full Time Permanent Position : Monday - Friday 40 hours

The company is a UK leading engineering business specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the manufacturing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes pipework and plant installations. planned and preventive maintenance along with a variety of other engineering services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join the company's on-site team, supporting a facilities management contract in Southall UB2 4NA.

Duties

As an experienced mechanical maintenance fitter you will be working across three food production facilities in Southall. Primary responsibilities will be to provide first line support to all faults and breakdowns associated with the building services plant and mechanical assets. Duties will include planned, preventive and re active maintenance to heating systems including steam boilers, hot and cold water services, air conditioning assets and waste water effluent plant. The role will specifically include refitting damaged pipework, removing and replacing pumps, motors, filters and valves along with clearing blocked pipes. There will be other general mechanical maintenance duties typically measuring pressure and flow levels, monitoring effluent plant volumes and carrying out Ph value checks.

About you

Based ideally in Southall you will need to live within a 1 hour commute of UB2 4NA. Travel expenses and accommodation costs are not paid with this role.

Demonstrable experience of building services maintenance with hands-on knowledge of boilers, heating systems and air conditioning systems with a strong pipe fitting or commercial plumbing back ground.
