Job Title: Head Maintenance Operative

Salary: £25,000 per annum - £28,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday (06:00am -14:00pm) - Tuesday - Friday (08:00am - 16:00pm)

Location: Southall - UB2

Abbatt is recruiting on behalf of one of the largest property management firms within the UK and surrounding areas. They are seeking a Head Maintenance Operative to join their team and become a valued member of the company. Our client is caring for 330,000 homes in England, Wales and Scotland, across 5,800 developments. With over four decades of experience and 3,300 employees, they can offer great exposure and career growth.

Type of person

The person required for this role will need to be competent in completing day to day maintenance tasks but also have strong organisational skills with the ability to develop great working relationships with residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will need to be computer literate as well as having exceptional communicational skills due to the nature of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to organise contractors to attend site.
  • Lift checks
  • Daily fire panel checks / FRA doors
  • Daily patrols - note down any repairs required, report any hazards and ensuring litter is picked up within garden / communal areas.
  • General maintenance on the building - change locks, patch painting, tap changes, changing lightbulbs and more.
  • Organising a tracker to keep on top of health and safety renewal dates.
  • Organise industrial bins.
  • Bin collection is on a Monday at 8:00am for waste and Wednesday at 8:00am for Recycling) - These will need to be moved to the collection point outside the development.
  • Answering calls
  • Responding to emails
  • Assisting residents with any queries
