Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Secondary school working in the SEND department for challenging children with severe needs. This will be a full time role from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm. The school caters exclusively to SEND pupils for all through ages. This school has great pride in its inclusive, multi-sensory, and motivating approach to teaching.

The Role:

  • Provide 1-1 support to children with SEND as a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
  • As a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant you will need to assist children during their therapy sessions
  • Help prepare learning resources and activities as a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Willing to support the needs of the students is essential to being a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant in a SEND setting in the UK is Ideal
  • Previous experience working with Secondary SEND students in the UK is essential
  • Enhanced DBS is essential but we can help you process one if you do not have one currently
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with pupils effectively is vital as a Care Support Worker
