We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technician - Plumber to join our team. If you have a passion for plumbing and mechanical services, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Technician - Plumber, you will:

  • Carry out both routine and non-routine work activities.
  • Perform new works, repairs, and routine planned maintenance on mechanical and heating systems, as well as hot and cold-water plant, equipment, and services.
  • Handle reactive work requests, minor new installation requests, and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently.
  • Escort contractors during inspections and installations.
  • Strictly adhere to relevant policies and procedures, maintain tool lists, and comply with Health and Safety and Security Regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, refrigeration, or mechanical services.
  • Specialization in a mechanical service (e.g., Gas, refrigeration, heat pumps).
  • Water safety training.
  • Experience with all types of mechanical, ventilation, or gas installations and maintenance.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Experience working within an NHS environment.
  • Your own tools and PPE.
  • The ability to interact at all levels.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A current driving license (manual).
  • Satisfactory attendance to work 8:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00-16:00 on Friday.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and be available at any London site.
  • Willingness to participate in the Department’s out-of-hours on-call system.
