THE HYGIENE TEAM LEADER

Reporting to the Hygiene Manager the Hygiene Team Leader will be responsible for providing support to ensure the Hygiene department run in an effective and efficient manner. Key aspects of the role will include:

  • Leading the Hygiene team and follow cleaning procedures, use chemicals safely preventing unnecessary waste, ensure all protective equipment is properly used and worn as required.
  • Planning and managing deep cleaning schedules, ensuring they are completed and recorded.
  • To comply and adhere to C.O.S.H.H., Health & Safety Instructions & Regulations.
  • Ensure Hygiene Operatives are properly trained to carry out their duties safely.
  • Training new members of staff on cleaning methods and chemical awareness.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Robust skillset with an established background in the food industry with experience in the hygiene environment preferred.
  • You will need to have similar experience leading or supervising a team within the food industry.
  • Working knowledge of Food and Hygiene polices.
  • Able to take on a degree of responsibility within the business, frequently operating as one of the senior members of staff on site.
  • Able to demonstrate good working communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both within a team and independently.
