The role - Behaviour mentor - Ealing
The role of the Behaviour Mentor is one that is exciting and rewarding at the same time, as it involves supervising, mentoring, and supporting students who have challenging behaviours. You will either be working 1:1 or in small groups. In your role as a teacher, you will be working with students who have been identified as having challenging behaviour. Therefore, it is essential that you have experience working closely with students with challenging behaviour. As well as working within the classroom, behaviour mentors also work outside of it. Your opportunities include running or supporting interventions geared towards the specific needs of students. Your role is to work closely with the identified students, monitoring their behaviour and tracking their progress, liaising with other members of the behavioural team as well as with the class teacher. Behaviour Mentors are the first point of contact for the identified students.
