Transport Planner

We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our clients team based in Southall. The ideal candidate will have previous transport experience and a strong understanding of transport compliance, driver management, and operational planning.

Monday - Friday

9am - 7pm

£33k Per Annum

Responsibilities

• Daily transport planning to ensure efficient deliveries and collections
• Reviewing and analyzing previous day’s figures, including mileage, vehicle registrations, and fuel usage
• Monitoring driver defects and ensuring all issues are logged and resolved
• Conducting vehicle audits to maintain compliance and operational efficiency
• Managing Tacho Tuesday - ensuring compliance with tachograph regulations, downloading tachograph data, and monitoring driver hours
• Identifying and addressing driver infringements to ensure legal compliance and best practices
• Liaising with drivers, ensuring they understand their routes and schedules
• Supporting the wider transport team with administrative tasks and reporting

Requirements

• Previous transport planning experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of tachograph laws and driver hours regulations
• Good analytical skills for reviewing figures, mileage, and compliance data
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
