Happy Wolf Pub Company are getting busier and are looking for somebody amazing to run our most established site, the Yew Tree in Avon Dassett. Our first General Manager has helped to propel the Yew Tree to have the high standards it has and now moving into our fifth year, we need somebody to continue our hard work & take the Yew Tree into what will be it's busiest year yet! We are a fairly new company intent on doing things the right way, for both our customers & our staff. We are looking for the right kind of people to come and be a part of the growth of an exciting brand, intent on growing & providing loads of opportunities.
We have created a unique brand name with the aim of making us more recognisable. We have experience running very busy pubs in various different parts of the country and using that experience, the plan was to do it all for ourselves, mixing all of the best bits together. We specialise in taking on country pubs in excellent locations & doing the simple things well, with something on offer for everyone with excellent food, drink & customer service at the very heart of what we do!
We are a small, hands-on, independent operator that does not have to answer to a remote head office. We design & create our own menus and have big plans for the future.
Job description
In the next couple of years we have ambitions to grow as a company so the possibilities are endless! The ideal General Manager will be full of personality and be able to strike immediate rapport with our guests. Experience is in a supervisory role is essential, alongside an excellent personality. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the site so there's loads of room for putting your stamp on the venue and possibilities for promotion in the future!
As a member of HWPC staff you will be given all of the encouragement that you need in order to succeed, with possible opportunities to progress in the near future.
You will:
- Be experienced in a similar role and fresh food environment.
- Have plenty of commitment and a genuine passion for providing quality service.
- Be able to prioritise well, especially on busy shifts and not be afraid to get your hands dirty during the quiet days - taking full responsibility for your section before, during & after service.
- Be a team player with good communication, time-keeping & organisational skills.
This is a salary paid role, on 48 hours per week. Wages will be discussed should you get to interview stage. You will also receive up to 28 days paid holiday and competitive tips, plus a bonus scheme. Accommodation available for the right candidate.
