My client, based in Southam, is currently recruiting a Senior Hydraulic Test Technician to join their team due to continued company growth! You will be responsible for contributing to the efficiency and profitability of the business by ensuring that goods are assembled and tested correctly and conform to their respective drawings and test procedures.

  • Hours of work - 8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 16:00 Friday - 36.5 hours

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of technicians testing various manifold assemblies, cartridge valves and customer returns.
  • Prepare parts for testing by populating with hydraulic fittings, connecting hoses, gauges and other equipment. Perform hydraulic testing to test procedures or hydraulic schematics using test rigs provided.
  • Testing of hydraulic manifold assemblies and cartridge valves using the test rigs provided to test procedures and hydraulic circuits. Supervision of junior technicians in these tasks.
  • Repair and testing of customer returns including taking apart cartridges, valves and assemblies, washing and replacing part as required. Testing to data sheets or test specs to ensure correct function. Submitting relevant paperwork following repair.
  • Clean parts with equipment provided, ensure parts are free from defects and contamination.
  • Assemble parts to drawings provided, including the assembly of cartridge valves and hydraulic manifold assemblies.
  • Paint engravings on machined parts with paint and equipment provided.
  • Complete relevant labels and paperwork.
  • Light warehouse duties, including the preparation of parts for processing at external suppliers.
  • Keeping the production area clean and tidy with good housekeeping.

Skills/Experience required;

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of hydraulic testing desirable.
  • Experience with hydraulic couplings, hoses and components desirable.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic drawings and circuits desirable.
  • Use of gauges and Quality Procedures ISO9001:2008
  • Quality control
  • Conscientious, methodical, organised and tidy - flexible in approach and able to use initiative.
  • Good communication and team player.
  • Effective interpretation of instructions.
  • Proactive and capable of planning ahead and time management.
  • Adaptable and capable of managing changing priorities and tasks.
  • Be willing to learn about new products and procedures.
