Your new companyMy client is a market-leading, global group who are a highly respected company within their sector. They continue to expand year-on-year, delivering record turnover figures annually. There is an opportunity to join their tax team on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract for extended maternity leave cover. Furthermore, due to their continued growth, other opportunities are likely to become available within the company at the completion of the contract. This represents an excellent opportunity for someone within the chartered profession, to gain insight into an in-house within a major business, giving them valuable experience for their future career.Your new roleYou will:

  • Focus on the preparation of corporate tax computations and returns for UK entities
  • Review tax computation for overseas entites, no previous experience of international tax is required
  • Forecast and modelling the future corporate tax position
  • Ensure transfer pricing compliance within the region, including calculation of transfer prices based on forecast information
  • Assist with ensuring that appropriate documentation is in place to support the annual senior accounting officer requirements in relation to corporate tax
  • Liaise with HMRC on corporate tax matters
  • Prepare quarterly corporation tax provision including outside the UK. No specific local tax knowledge is needed to complete this review.
  • Assist with preparation of tax disclosures for inclusion in the UK annual Statutory Accounts
  • Prepare patent box and R&D claims within the group, no previous experience required

What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant or tax professional, ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA or equivalent, trained within accountancy practice with demonstrable UK corporation tax experience. You may be a first mover from the profession or have gained some in-house experience and wish to work for a leading global organisation. What you'll get in returnYou will receive a salary dependent on experience up to £65,000 plus company benefits.
