Location: Nursling, Southampton

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join a longstanding client in Nursling, Southampton. This role involves a variety of tasks to support our central Accounts team and our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting and allocating customer payments
  • Reconciling unallocated payments
  • Adjusting and monitoring credit limits
  • Managing general and personal email inboxes promptly
  • Handling customer queries via email and phone
  • Distributing monthly customer statements
  • Sending copy invoices
  • Performing credit control duties
  • Setting up new customer accounts according to company procedures
  • Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
