We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our client's team in Nursling, Southampton. This role offers a variety of tasks that are crucial for supporting the Accounts team and their customers. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance, we encourage you to apply.
Day-to-day of the role:- Posting and allocating customer payments.
- Reconciling unallocated payments.
- Adjusting and monitoring credit limits.
- Managing general and personal email inboxes promptly.
- Handling customer queries via email and phone.
- Distributing monthly customer statements.
- Sending copy invoices.
- Performing credit control duties.
- Setting up new customer accounts according to company procedures.
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- 6-12 months experience within Accounts is essential.
- 6-12 months experience within credit control is desirable.
- Due to the location, reliable transport will be required.
- 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service.
